About Us
“Pilates Emporium offers safe, beneficial and purposeful fitness options for mature clients.”
People in their 20’s and 30’s have many options for keeping fit. Gyms are full of people pumping weights and sweating buckets.
As we age, we start to feel the wear and tear on our joints and muscles. More and more mature clientele are looking for safe, purposeful and beneficial fitness and Pilates Emporium provides just that through Stott and East West Pilates based fitness options.
Barb Schmidt became involved with Stott Pilates many years ago. Given her 20 year career in social services, special education and therapeutic recreation, she quickly understood the benefits Stott Pilates provides, particularly for mature people. Clients at the studio range in age from 21 to 85, in just a short time they report feeling stronger, more balanced and experiencing less joint and back pain. People tend to avoid movement and exercise due to joint and muscle pain or injury. Pilates provides the opportunity to move from a limited range of motion to greater strength and mobility resulting in pain relief.
Some clients come to Pilates Emporium to strengthen their core and become pain free in daily activities, others come for personal interests in physical development and strength. The Instructors at Pilates Emporium have various combinations of education, experience and training backgrounds including athletic conditioning and rehabilitation programming.
Sessions are purchased with a generous time frame for usage to encourage consistency and help clients reach their goals. Flexible payment options include pay-as-you-go or membership. Your package of sessions can be applied to any service available in the studio.
